Regional Transportation Plans and Programs
SANBAG
actively participates in the regional planning activities of the Southern
California Association of Governments (SCAG). SCAG’s
planning area covers the counties of San Bernardino, Imperial, Los Angeles,
Orange, Riverside, and Ventura. Members of the SANBAG Board of Directors
serve on various SCAG committees and on the Regional Council, the governing
board of SCAG.
Two of the principal activities of SCAG are the development of the Regional Transportation Plan (every three years), and the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (every two years). SANBAG coordinates the input of local jurisdictions within San Bernardino County for inclusion of projects in the RTP and RTIP.
