Comprehensive Operational Analysis of Omnitrans
Omnitrans is the primary public transportation provider in the San Bernardino Valley. Omnitrans provides fixed-route bus service and demand response service, also known as “dial-a-ride”, to southwestern San Bernardino County and parts of Riverside and Los Angeles counties.
SANBAG is looking for ways to enhance public transportation in San Bernardino County by conducting an analysis of current Omnitrans services. The analysis will help to maximize the impact of taxpayer funding for transit by gaining better knowledge of riders, improving efficiency, and directing transit investment where it is most needed. The Comprehensive Operational Analysis is expected to take 12 months, with completion anticipated in January 2012.
