Measure I Fund Allocation
During the first 13 years of the measure (1990-2003), funds have been allocated as follows:
Mountain and Desert Communities
The mountain and desert communities spend 65% of these Measure I funds
on major streets that serve as transportation arteries throughout the
region. Another 30% is spent on local streets and roads, and the remaining
5% is used to support bus operations, so that elderly and handicapped
riders can receive lower fares.
