Eastbound Route 210 to be closed this weekend in Fontana
The eastbound lanes of State Route 210 between Citrus Avenue in Fontana to and Alder Avenue in Rialto will be closed this weekend to allow construction crews to re-stripe the freeway lanes to prepare for the freeway opening this summer.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. on July 13. Lanes will reopen by 2 a.m. on July 16. Westbound lanes will remain open throughout the weekend.
Drivers should exit Citrus Avenue, head south and turn east on South Highland Avenue. Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers through the area.
San Bernardino Associated Governments and Caltrans, who are project partners in the construction of the final section of Route 210 through Rialto and San Bernardino, have not announced an official opening date of the freeway, but it may open as early as the end of July. A precise opening date is expected to be announced this month.
