Enjoy the Walt Disney Concert Hall
- Visitors to Los Angeles can explore one great architectural delight with the help of Metrolink this winter. Beat the rain and cold weather by touring the Walt Disney Concert Hall,
- Metrolink makes the journey easy with large picture windows, comfortable seats, tables at some upper-deck seating areas, onboard restrooms and drinking fountains.
- To begin the trip, board the train from any San Bernardino County or eastern Los Angeles County station and ride to the end of the line to Union Station. Follow the signs to the Metro Red Line subway and take any Red Line train to the first stop, Civic Center Station. Red Line passengers ride free by showing their valid Metrolink ticket.
- From the Civic Center Station, exit onto Tom Bradley Boulevard and head north. Walk one block north and turn left on Grand Avenue the Walt Disney Concert Hall is will be on the right side, at the corner of Grand Street and 1st Street.
- The Walt Disney Concert Hall encompasses 293,000 square feet and has a wavy, steel exterior intended to resemble a ship with sails extended at full mast. It has become a tourist destination since its opening in 2003.
- Free audio tours and free guided tours – each 45-60 minutes – are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays. A free, 45-minute urban garden tour is held at noon both days.
- To return to Union Station, walk back one block to the Red Line Civic Center Station and board any train to Union Station. Remember, riding the Red Line is free with a paid Metrolink fare.
