High Priority Projects Program
The High Priority Projects Program provides funding for specific projects, commonly referred to as Demonstration Projects, located on the Federal-Aid Highway System. These projects are identified by Congress for each authorizing act, such as SAFETEA, and included in the reauthorizing legislation.
