Alternative Fueling Infrastructure

Fueling up a natural gas powered vehicleInland Empire Clean Fuels Corridor
The Inland Empire's Clean Fuels Corridor (IECFC) encompasses San Bernardino and Riverside counties and provides a fueling infrastructure for the following alternative fuels:

  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
  • Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations

The IECFC is one effort to provide a network of alternative fueling sites in Southern California. SANBAG and the Riverside County Transportation Commission initiated this effort in conjunction with Applied LNG Technologies, United Parcel Service, Southern California Edison, the City of Riverside, and The Southern California Gas Company.

Interstate Clean Transportation Corridor
As a follow-up to the first alternative fuel infrastructure network, SANBAG has been a participant in the Interstate Clean Transportation Corridor (ICTC) network, a consortium of public and private agencies dedicated to linking alternative fueling infrastructure stations throughout the western United States.

Detailed locations of alternative fueling infrastructure can be found at Clean Car Maps. This site provides detailed maps and driving instructions for the location of LNG, CNG, EV, and liquefied petroleum gas (propane) throughout California. By entering some simple parameters (such as a zip code or name of a city and the fuel type), commuters can obtain up-to-date information about fueling stations available in that location.
